Kings 17:1-6 & 18:1-15
prophet Elijah was chosen by God to address the apostate times of
King Ahab. The drought was directed by God through the
faithful prophet as a judgment on Israel, and it did not rain.
It was a direct strike against their worship of Baal, the fertility
god, also called Lord of Rain.
