Psalms 100:1-5, Numbers 11:4-35, Philippians 4:11, I Thessalonians 5:16-18

Today's message focused primarily on attitudes that surfaced in Numbers 11 where Moses was dealing with the children of Israel in the desert and their desire for meat.  It is amazing the attitudes that surface when selfishness rules.  Likewise, selflessness results in amazing attitudes.

Attitudes that surfaced:

  • How quickly the Children of Israel forgot their slavery but remember the meat they had back in Egypt.

  • The candor of Moses.

  • Moses was trying to deal with to much for one person.  Without a good support structure it weighs you down.

  • When Moses questioned the Lord's ability to feed so many the Lord responded, "Is the Lord's hand shortened?"

  • Be careful what you ask for.  You might get more than is good for you.  In this case the craving resulted in a plague that brought death.

  • Never forget.  God is the author of that is good.
