A Christian World View

Psalm 115:1-18, John 2:13-17, I Corinthians 8:4, 10:18-22, Jeremiah 10:1-16, Hebrews 9:27

Today's message is designed to help give perspective on visiting museums that deal with creation and life.  How does one synthesis what you see and read with a Christian World View?  Never forget there is only one truth.  The evidence is certain but the interpretations varies.

Comments:

  • When you see skeletons or mock ups of theory of human evolution you think you can almost see someone you know today in each of the stages.

  • Primitive had an idea of the after life.  That is why some buried the dead with knives, tools, food, and even pets.

  • Sometimes dummy pets (mummies) were placed into a box to appear like the real thing.  Religion as a business is horrible.

  • Egyptians did preparation for the after live.

  • Some cultures viewed death as crossing a river, or avoiding dangerous spirit on your journey.

  • Idols and Buddha's are nothing.  They are looking to created things to meet a need that only God can fulfill.

  • Remember, sacrificing to idols is sacrificing to demons.  Satan loves people to be ignorant.  Satan deceives people.

Remember:  Jesus said I am the resurrection.  John 11:25.  He is the only hope beyond the grave.
