Sola
Gratia - Grace Alone
Ephesians
2:1-10, II
Corinthians 5:21, Romans
4:4-5
Today
is part (2 of 5) pillars of faith. The second pillar we look
at is Sola Gratia which means by grace alone. Salvation is by
grace and nothing more. God made Christ who knew no sin to be
sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.
Other Comments:
-
If
something about Grace seems unfair it is because we don't see our own
need.
-
When God
justifies the wicked that is us!
-
We need
to grasp our own wickedness before we can understand Grace.
-
Our
natural tendency is to reject Grace. However, God does not want
us to think we can do it our self's.
-
Luke 15
- In the parables of the lost sheep, lost coin, and the prodigal
Son. There was rejoicing is each case at the lost being
found. However, in the parable of the prodigal Son it was the
son who had to make the decision to come home.
