religions do not have idols. God, knowing mans heart, strictly
prohibits idolatry. The first two commandments prohibit any
other gods or graven images. Our tendency is to seek alternatives to
God that we can see when we don't see or feel the presence of God.
We look for something else to replace God.

obstruct God in our lives.

its many forms and/or desire to be respected
to temptations of idols

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you. James

Hope in the Lord is an alternative to idols.
