Finding God's Will

Romans 12:1-2, Proverbs 3:5-6

God has a plan for each of us and we should want to follow that plan.  To be in the center of God's will implies degrees.  Your path is the consequence of who he created us to be.  He expects us to chose the best way.  Sometimes that path takes you through period of pain.  God's will isn't necessarily happy.  However, He is looking for us to be faithful.

Other Points for Thought:

  • We need to be whole hearted.  A divided heart is not good.  Idol trusting is focusing on things instead of focusing on God.

  • God's ways are higher than man's ways.

  • God is the master of history.  He can make kings do what He wants.

    Some examples:

    • Abram was a man who walked by faith.

    • Moses was a man who followed the path God laid out for him:  God's Positioning System.

    • Joseph would be an example of one where circumstances lead him to where God wanted him to be.

  • Finally, if prayer is 2 ways, why should we be surprised when He answers.
