Josiah's Leadership

II Chronicles 6:41-42 & 7:1-3 & 12-20

When Israel split there were ten tribes that became part of the northern kingdom and two tribes, Benjamin and Judah, that formed the southern kingdom.  The northern kingdom never had a good king.  Although the southern kingdom has its share of bad kings, Josiah was a good king.

We learn that at age 16 he sought God.  Later at age 20 he starting cleaning out idols.  Josiah did his best to bring the people back to God.  However, after Josiah's reign the kingdom suffered the consequences of their failure to obey God.  Good leaders do make a positive difference in the land where they lead.

Therefore remembering that good leaders do make a positive difference in the land where they lead, be in prayer for our coming election.  We can vote, but ultimately the outcome is in God's hand.
