John 16 - Upper Room As Jesus is approaching the time of his crucifixion he wants his disciples to know what to expect. He tells them of the coming of the Helper. There are rough times ahead. When that comes remember that I told you it would happen. If you are my followers you will run into trouble. However, because of the coming of the Helper (the Holy Spirit). His coming will convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. Eventually the tables will turn. Your sorrow, which occurs when the world rejoice will be but for a time. The time will come when the tables will turn and your sorrow will be turned into joy. John 16:33 - "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the would you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world."
